The 2010 NorCal Sectional Wrap Up
The competition was stiff at, what were told, was that largest CrossFit competition in history. The male roster had 278 entries. Kyle, our resident fire breather was the first person from CrossFit Pleasanton to compete. Everyone that knows Kyle will agree that he is a man of character and a fantastic athlete. I can’t tell you how proud I am that such a guy represented us. He wanted me to post this:
I wanted to thank everyone for their support and encouragement throughout my training for the Crossfit NorCal Sectionals. Paul, Jesse, Harry and Dan thank you guys for the coaching and advice. It would have been a rough road without your help. It was awesome to have so many people from our gym show up to check out the action and cheer me on. Kevin was by far the loudest cheerleader on the field and was quite motivating! It was great to see the Southerns, the Knights, the Comerfords, Dan, Mark, Joy, John, and Dani there supporting the cause. The competition was a lot of fun and I was happy with what I had accomplished. I finished day one in 55th place and made some headway in day two, jumping up to finish in 30th. Only the top 20 moved on but I was pretty proud to have made it where I did…you should have seen the competition! So again…thank you all the well wishes and support!
P.S. Never take an ice bath even if someone tells you it will help…
We are looking at putting an affiliate team together for the regional competition in May.
