I started going to CrossFit classes 3 or 4 times per week and I slowly learned how to make healthy food choices. I told Paul, “I can’t go on a diet. I’ve tried them all and as soon as I say I’m on a diet I have to eat ice cream.” I slowly incorporated, “Paul’s 10 Healthy Habits” into my life.
I have always hated working out, but CrossFit with Dan King is not a work out to me. It’s a challenge that seems unattainable at first glance. When I walk in and see the work out on the board, I think there is no way I can do that. I figure I’ll try it and I’ll stop when I have to. Well I’ve never stopped. Once Dan says, “3…2…1…Go” the adrenalin kicks in and there is no way I’m giving up. The feeling of accomplishment after each and every work out is overwhelming. I leave Re-Active with a smile on my face because I’m so proud of myself.
Never in a million years did I think I would be able to do unassisted pull ups or dead lift 165 lbs., but I can and it’s only taken 6 months.
