This is a benchmark workout. Benchmark workouts measure your work capacity. As you become more fit, your ability to do more work in less time increases. Measure previous workouts (you are documenting right?) to today’s workout.

On another note, if you are aiming for a spot on the record board, let the coach know. If your initials are on the record board, it should be because you busted your ass and did everything as prescribed and correctly. Coach Glassman calls it virtuosity. In today’s workout, did you come up to horizontal on your back extensions and did you perform a full range on the sit-ups? Once the coach knows you are going for a record, he can attest to everyone else that everything was 100%. This is a coaching facility. None of us are above constructive criticism. Someone watching me move can give me feedback on my body’s mechanical issues. Issues I might not even know existed.

It’s that time of year again. Pace Linck from Re-Active Gym has helped to put on the JDRF Summer Classic (Drive for a Cure) goes off at Wente on Friday. There are still a couple of golf spots left if you would like to come out and support the juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
