ABOUT US

Why choose CrossFit Pleasanton over a traditional gym, or a different CrossFit affiliate?

Our private coaching, state of the art facility and encouraging and supportive community are what set us apart from any other fitness facility, both CrossFit affiliates and otherwise.

Our Mission

Our goal here at CFP is to help our client’s achieve their Impossible. Our focus is to make our clients lives better, whatever that means to you. If that means running faster, biking longer or being more flexible, then that is the goal. We are here to make your day to day life more energetic and more pain free. The way we do this is by getting you fitter. If being fitter means improving your squat and overall mobility, doing pull-ups, or just being able to keep up with your kids, then we are here to help you achieve a better quality of life. We also have the support system and community to make it easier to stick with your goals with private coaching, gym events, and group classes to keep you accountable for achieving your goals. Trying to do things on your own is possible, having a coach will make it probable, and having a community of like minded people supporting you is UNSTOPPABLE. This is CFP.

Private Coaching

Private Coaching

What?
We are not a group exercise class or a boot camp facility. Prior to graduating to group classes, you will complete one-on-one private coaching classes (the exact number depends on your personal level of fitness and physical abilities), you will become proficient with the CrossFit movements (30-40 movements).  They will include Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, gymnastics and rowing.  You will also be educated on mobility, injury prevention, and nutrition.
Why?
Learning movements that are required for improved fitness – movements like squats, snatches and pull-ups – take time, as does improving your mobility, your endurance, your speed and your power.
We used to throw people into group classes right away, but we found this to be a recipe for failure. Students weren’t prepared; they didn’t move well; they didn’t understand their capabilities; they over-trained; they got injured. Or they were simply too intimidated to even show up to a class.
Improving your fitness is a slow process. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses when they show up at our doors. Some students struggle with mobility, others with stability, others yet come to us two months after having knee surgery and need to be tended with care. And on the other end of the spectrum, some athletes arrive at our door well conditioned with an extensive athletic background.
The point is we all have different needs when we start a new strength and conditioning program. It doesn’t make sense to throw you right into classes before you have properly learned the movements. So at our school, by the time you graduate to classes, you’ll have a good understanding of 30-40 movements, and you will know exactly how to scale each movement if you’re not yet able to master everything.
This also means that by the time you get to classes you will feel confident and comfortable showing up to hit the workout with the group.
Facility

Facility

facility

What?

There are many elements that go into making a world-class facility. The training components having enough space to equipment ratio is an important factor.   Our facility has all the necessary components to help you get fit and stay fit for life. Read more about what is required for a world-class training facility here.

Why?

Imagine walking into a facility that has enough space for you to feel comfortable and enough equipment to get the workout done in a clean and healthy environment. This is not the case for many of the gyms.

Inconveniences like waiting for equipment, not knowing if your are doing the moves correctly, and having to go home to shower after a workout, are just a few things that may deter you from going to a gym at all. Our bay doors and natural light may seem like small things but when they are taken away people notice.  Our coaches are there for your benefit to help you perfect your workout every time.

We have been in the fitness industry for many years and we know what people are looking for in their fitness facility.

CrossFit Pleasanton is a 13,000-square foot world class coaching facility with shower rooms.  We are located at 7051 Commerce Circle, Suite C in Pleasanton, California.  We offer group CrossFit classes, buddy training, group training, private coaching, sport team training, strength coaching Olympic lifting classes as well as corporate fitness. We also house one of the only GRID rigs in the United States.  This is the rig that is used by the SF Fire when they train at our facility.

Community Events

Community Events

What?

The strength of our gym lies in the community of it’s people.  From BBQ’s to fitness competitions to mud runs, our members are more than just fitness junkies.  They are a community of friends, families, and like-minded athletes that support each other to reach goals.

Why?

Fitness at CFP is something that should make your life better; it’s not something we think should dominate your life. We believe it’s important to be well rounded and know how to let loose, have some fun and socialize with friends.

We, at CFP, have learned that students who are engaged in the gym community are more likely to want to show up to workout – because they show up not just to workout, but also to enjoy themselves socially.

Coach for Life

Coach for Life

 What?
Don’t worry – we won’t abandon you after you graduate from private coaching. Even once you’ve graduated to group classes, you will stay in contact with your coach.
Once a quarter (or more if you want), you will continue to meet with your coach in a one-on-one environment.
Why?
Having a coach for life helps you stay on track with your training and your goals.
Often what happens is once students enter group classes, they discover new weaknesses, and so refresher sessions with your coach help you tackle new challenges.
Also, once you have been in classes for a while, you may want to do some more specialty work, such as begin a strength program. Your coach will put together strength or skill-based additional programs for you once you get to that point.
We have found that students that forge good relationships with their coaches, both at the gym and socially, are more likely to stick on the path to improved fitness, and ultimately the path to a healthier, happier life.
Crossfit Group Class

What?
We offer classes at 5:30 am, 6:30 am, 7:30 am, 8:30 am,9:30 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm & 7:30 pm. We also offer classes on Saturday, Sunday at 9:30 am & 10:30 am . See full class schedule here.
Why?
But more than this, our morning coaches do not coach in the evenings, and our evening coaches do not coach in the mornings. This means that you will not be coached by a tired, burnt out coach at 8pm. Our coaches work a manageable 20 to 30 hours a week, so they have plenty of energy to give to each student and each class.
