Introduction to CrossFit Pleasanton
Once you’ve decided you want to get into the best shape of your life and be a part of a community of like-minded people, it’s time to book a 1 on 1 trail session or a free class trial.
1 on 1 trail session
Do it alone or bring a friend along to your 60-minute 1 on 1 intro session that explains the CrossFit methodology and how our Box implements it. Most important we will want to get to know you. Your goals, fitness history, what you will be looking for from our coaching staff and our facility. We are not about just signing people up and getting them into the gym. We care about you, your longevity and what will work best for each and every member here. After this 1 on 1, you are ready to move on to your Rolling Start sessions.
Free class trail
If you have done CrossFit before then you can schedule a Free class trail session. You will get to the coach and some of the other members at the gym. See our amazing 8,000 sq’ facility. Also experience how we implement the CrossFit methodology. Fill out a form and we will get you signed into a class.
Rolling Start
If you have already tried our free class or just know you want to jump right into starting with us, our Rolling Start program is where you’ll begin!
You will start off by completing 4 one-on-one or one-on-two private coaching sessions, where you will be coached by an instructor. Our instructors are some of the best CrossFit coaches who brought CrossFit to the Tri-Valley 15 years ago; their experience is second to none.
Through these sessions you will get a good understanding of the CrossFit movements that you will see in classes. They will include Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, gymnastics, rowing and many more. You will also be educated on mobility, injury prevention, and nutrition.
We used to throw people into group classes right away like most CrossFit’s, but we found this to be a recipe for failure. Students weren’t prepared; they didn’t move well; didn’t understand their capabilities; they over-trained; and got injured. Or they were simply too intimidated to even show up to a class. Safety and fitness education for all our members is priority number one. This is why the Rolling Start is so important.
Group Classes
Once you have completed one of the Rolling Start options, and the coach feels you are ready and have reach our graduation requirements, you are free to begin group classes.
During group classes, you’ll push yourself and sweat it out with like-minded individuals, as you compete with yourself (and others, if you choose) for rounds, time, points, glory, emotional satisfaction and spiritual growth.
CFP Corps
If you are ready to take it to the next level or looking to compete at that sport of CrossFit the CFP Corps is the program that you will want to be a part of. This team of athletes meets at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm every day of the week. This is not for the faint of heart. These workouts will consist of heavy strength work, harder met-cons, accessory work, and conditioning. Each session is over 2 hours of work. This group also goes to local competitions at least 4 to 5 times a year.
This is not a class and there is no coaching or supervision. The owner and coaches are a part of the team and athletes need to have good experience under their belt to join the group. Skills like Double-Unders, Handstand push-ups, Kipping Pull-ups, Chest to Bar, are a must, along with proficiency in Olympic lifting and Weight lifting. This is for the serious member looking for the extra push.
